Project type: Professional
Project status: Completed

Project summary:

The aim of the work was to establish which species of Psocoptera (bark lice, book lice, psocids) are present in the Western Tasmania World Heritage Area. As so little information is available on Tasmanian Psocoptera, material collected on a previous visit (outside the WHA) in 1985 was also considered to provide information on the wider distribution of species in Tasmania. Three species were recorded at the Tahune Forest Reserve, now part of the Warra LTER site.

Methodology:

Surveying for Psocoptera was carried out between 27th January and 10th February 1987.

Datasets:

None available.
