Project summary:

One of the advantages of conducting research in an LTER site is the ability to build on others’ research. To do this effectively, it is important that those projects exploring similar aspects of ecology are based on a shared understanding of how that aspect can be described and categorised. For example, when studying coarse woody debris, it is important to use the same number of decay-classes, and the same means of categorising these based on external appearance. As the research portfolio of Warra grows, developing, maintaining and upholding similar standard descriptor sets for a range of ecological aspects will become increasingly important. The intention is that as new descriptor sets are produced, they will be made accessible from this page.
